Corporate Culture and Values
At Southwestern Public Health, we’re here to make our communities healthier, safer, and stronger. Our work is shaped by a five-year Strategic Plan, developed through conversations with our community members, partners, and staff.
What is our vision for the future?
Healthy people in vibrant communities.
What is our mission?
We lead the way in protecting and promoting the health of all people in our communities, resulting in better health.
What are the values guiding our work?
We’re committed to five values that shape our decisions and actions:
-
Accountable: We act responsibly and lead with integrity
-
Collaborative: We partner for action to serve our communities
-
Equitable: We champion access, inclusion, and opportunities for all
-
Evidence-informed: We make decisions based on accurate, reliable data and information
-
Strategic: We prepare today for tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities
How are we planning for the future?
Our five-year Strategic Plan reflects lessons learned through a global pandemic, shifts in population health, and a continued need for equity, innovation, and organizational readiness.
Over the next five years, our efforts will focus on three priorities: leaderful culture, organizational readiness, and workplace health.
