Food Handler Certification

Food Handler training is an excellent opportunity to learn the safe way to prepare food. Whether you operate a restaurant, take-out, catering, or mobile food premises, or are working directly with high-risk groups such as children and the elderly, training is designed to meet the needs of your staff and your customers. 

This training provides knowledge of:

  • The role of the Public Health Inspector and Public Health legislation
  • Understanding bacteria
  • Preventing foodborne illness
  • Personal hygiene, sanitation, pest control

It is recommended that anyone working in the food industry acquire Food Handler Certification. Food service premises, including special event vendors, are required to have at least one food handler on site for every hour of operation.
