Why elections matter to our health.

Our health is impacted by many different things: our genetics, our job, our community. What we make, where we live, how much schooling we have and our feeling of belonging in the community are all closely tied to how healthy we are.

Our federal politicians make decisions that may influence our health and the health of our friends, family and community – for better or for worse. Voting gives us a voice in what some of those decisions are.

Canada’s next federal election is scheduled for October 21, 2019. To register and vote in the federal election, you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old on election day, and prove your identity and address.
