Southwestern Public Health Welcomes New Appointment Mayor Ted Comiskey to Board of Health
When the Southwestern Public Health Board of Health meets on Thursday, February 4, 2021 there will be a new face at the virtual table.
Ted Comiskey is a recent appointee to the Board of Health by Oxford County Council.
Currently the Mayor of Ingersoll, and Deputy Warden of Oxford County, Comiskey has a long history in the region, first in leadership roles at Timberjack, Ark Industries and Bellcamp, and later at Allied Tax Consultants and Collins and Aikman. He is the founder of the Canterbury Folk Festival and a current member and past President of the Ingersoll Rotary Club. This is his third term as Mayor of Ingersoll. He is also a member of the Ingersoll Police Services Board.
"I am honoured to be appointed as a member of the SWPH Board, and very much look forward to working with the other members of the board, in supporting the health needs of our community,” says Comiskey.

We look forward to his contributions during what is an exceptional time for the public health sector and the community we serve.”
Currently, the Board of Health meets monthly using videoconferencing technologies in respect of the provincial legislation designed to keep individuals and communities safe. The next meeting is February 4, 2021 at 3pm.
