COVID-19 Dashboard
Welcome
If you have been following our COVID-19 dashboard closely over the past couple of years, you will notice significant changes today. Some of these changes stem from the fact that without widespread access to PCR testing (most people get their positive result from a rapid test at home), our case numbers by municipality were mostly reflective of cases associated with outbreaks (for example staff and residents at Long-Term Care Homes). Instead, we're focusing on four indicators (cases, active outbreaks, percent positivity and hospitalizations) which together paint a good picture of the overall risk to the community.
Getting started:
- The dashboard is updated each week on Tuesdays.
- Confirmed cases represent the known positive PCR test results that are reported to Southwestern Public Health. Changes to testing eligibility will affect the number of reported positive cases.
Other respiratory illnesses in the SWPH region:
For the week of February 12 - February 18, 2023 influenza activity across Oxford County, Elgin County and the City of St. Thomas was Sporatic/Yellow (please see map in PHO bulletin below). For more information about current or historical influenza activity, please visit PHO’s Ontario Respiratory Pathogen Bulletin.
