Boil Water Advisory for Ingersoll Water supply: King Street West between Ingersoll Street South and Oakwood Street

Southwestern Public Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for people using the Ingersoll Water Supply in the following areas: King Street West (Ingersoll) between Ingersoll Street South and Oakwood Street.

The reason for the advisory is that the Medical Officer of Health has been advised that a water main break occurred at 419 King Street West on August 3, 2026 and may have compromised the water supply. The boil water advisory is recommended as a precaution in case of potential contamination of the drinking water system.

All users of the drinking water system located in the area of King Street West between Ingersoll Street South and Oakwood Street are being notified of this advisory.

The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ninh Tran, is advising that once the water supply has been restored, users should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for domestic purposes e.g., drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods and making ice.
