Boil Water Advisory for Mount Elgin
This boil water advisory was officially lifted as of May 2, 2025 at 2:20 p.m. Run your taps for at least five minutes to flush your pipes before using the water.
Southwestern Public Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for all users of the Mount Elgin Municipal Water System following a pressure loss in the system on April 29, 2025. This advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure due to the potential for contamination of the drinking water supply.
Dr. Ninh Tran, Medical Officer of Health, recommends that all affected residents bring water to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before using it for:
