Boil Water Advisory for Oxford South Municipal Water Supply
Southwestern Public Health has issued a Boil Water Advisory for all users of the Oxford South Municipal Water Supply (Norwich, Otterville, and Springford). This advisory is precautionary, as the Medical Officer of Health has been advised that water sample results may indicate the presence of bacteria in the water.
Dr. Ninh Tran, Medical Officer of Health, recommends that all affected residents bring water to a rolling boil for at least one full minute before using it for:
-
Drinking
-
Preparing infant formula or juice
-
Brushing teeth
-
Washing raw foods
-
Making ice
Boil Water FAQ is available here
This advisory measure is in place until such time as bacteriological tests prove the water to be safe.
