Dog bite in Woodstock on Jan. 12

Southwestern Public Health is seeking assistance in identifying a dog involved in a bite incident that occurred on January 12, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., at the off-leash dog park on Henry Street in Woodstock.

The dog is described as a large, sandy-brown dog with some Husky-like features. The owner was not seen at the time of the incident and may have been on the other side of the park and unaware that their dog was involved. The dog approached and growled at the person before biting his arm.

Public health is seeking information about the dog to verify its rabies vaccine history. If you have any information about this dog or its owner, please contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 and ask to speak with a Public Health Inspector.
