Dog is described as a small sized, tan and white in color that resembles a Shih Tzu

Dog bite incident in Woodstock on July 14, 2025

Southwestern Public Health is seeking assistance in identifying a dog involved in a bite incident that occurred on July 14, 2025, at approximately 11 p.m., close to the intersection of Dunas Street and Brock Street in Downtown Woodstock.

The victim was walking westbound on Dundas Street when they were bitten by a dog sitting near the curb with its owner and a couple of bystanders.

The dog is described as a small sized, tan and white in color that resembles a Shih Tzu. The animal owner is described as a Male, aged 40-60, wearing a red shirt at the time of the incident.  

Please note that the dog and its owner are not in any trouble. We are trying to confirm the dog’s vaccination status to assess the risk of rabies exposure for the person who was bitten.
