Southwestern Public Health reporting three measles exposures in healthcare settings

Southwestern Public Health is advising the community of three new measles exposures.

The potential exposures occurred at the following locations and timeframes:

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital - Emergency Department

167 Rolph Street, Tillsonburg

• February 27, 2025 - 12:57 to 5:37 p.m.
• March 3, 2025 - 4:30 - 6:40 p.m.

St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital - Emergency Department

189 Elm St, St. Thomas

• Feb 26, 2025 - 4:00 to 8:15 p.m.

If you were present at these locations during these timeframes, were born in 1970 or later, and are not up-to-date with your vaccinations, please call public health at 1-800-922-0096 ext. 1232. This includes those who were only present briefly as measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air for up to two hours.
