SWPH investigating a dog bite in London on February 8

Southwestern Public Health is seeking the public’s help to identify a dog involved in a bite incident in London.

The incident occurred on February 8, 2026, between 4:30 and 4:45 PM inside the Winners store located at 3075 Wonderland Rd South, London.

The victim is from the SWPH region and was visiting the store at the time of the incident. The dog is described as brown, stocky, and possibly a bully-type breed. It was on a leash.

Three females were with the dog. The individual holding the leash was described as Caucasian, approximately 5’6”, with long black hair. After the bite occurred, the group and the dog were asked to leave the store before any information could be collected.

Public Health wants to confirm the vaccination status of the dog to allow the victim and their health care provider to determine next steps related to rabies post-exposure prophylaxis.

If you are the owner of the dog or have information about the incident, please contact Southwestern Public Health at 1-800-922-0096 and ask to speak with a Public Health Inspector.
