Immunizations for Grade 7 Students

Southwestern Public Health is again offering vaccinations for Hepatitis B, Meningococcal, and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) to eligible students in Grade 7. Hepatitis B and HPV are optional while the meningococcal vaccine continues to be mandatory under the Immunization of School Pupils Act.

These vaccines are being offered at schools. However, some students would prefer their vaccinations be done in a private setting.

We are encouraging all students who do not wish to have their vaccination done at school to have these done at their family physician if they have one.

Southwestern Public Health (Elgin/St. Thomas location) will try to accommodate those who do not have family physicians at designated clinics in January 2020.

To Order Grade 7 Vaccines:

Vaccines for these students can be ordered using the High Risk and School Order Form. This form is located on the yellow tear off pad that you should have received during your fridge inspection. It can also be found online at https://www.swpublichealth.ca/vaccineorderforms.
