Following the formation of Southwestern Public Health in May 2018, the Board of Directors began the process of building a new Strategic Pan and a mission, a vision and a set of values for the new public health unit serving Oxford County, Elgin County and the City of St. Thomas.
This five-year strategic pan is intended to direct the health unit’s work until 2024 and to provide a road map for allocating resources, developing partnerships and building an organizational structure that supports the work to be done.
Public health is most effective when it is influenced by the experiences, knowledge and expertise of individual community members, professionals in the community and partner agencies. The contributions of all these groups to our 2019 strategic plan will continue to inspire our work as we move forward with the province’s public health change plans.
Thank you to everyone who played a role by contributing throughout the planning process. Your feedback is invaluable to us.
