Changes coming to COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Oxford
Health unit to operate out of its Woodstock site and Unifor 88 in Ingersoll throughout November
COVID-19 vaccine operations are on the move in Oxford County. Beginning November 2, Southwestern Public Health will hold COVID-19 vaccine clinics four days per week at its Woodstock office, and once-per-week at Unifor 88 in Ingersoll. The sites will operate throughout November.
“We are thankful to the Oxford Auditorium team and all the organizations that provided us with space for pop-up clinics across the county. We appreciate your support in keeping our community protected against COVID-19,” says Emily Hanley, Manager of COVID-19 Vaccine Operations in Oxford County.
Clinics will run 9AM to 4PM (closed noon to 1PM) on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at Southwestern Public Health at 410 Buller Street in Woodstock, and 9:30AM to 3:30PM on Tuesdays at Unifor 88 at 364 Victoria Street in Ingersoll. St. Thomas operations at 1230 Talbot Street continue as scheduled. Appointments can be booked online at ontario.ca/book-vaccine or by calling 1-888-943-3900.
“Staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccines can help keep you out of the hospital and ICU,” says Hanley. “As an added convenience, anyone who has booked a COVID-19 vaccine with us can also request a flu shot during their appointment starting in November. Preventing serious complications from respiratory illnesses is our priority this fall.”
Southwestern Public Health has also secured several GO-VAXX Bus dates in Oxford County and Elgin County in November to give more options to people aged 5 and older across the region. The GO-VAXX Bus does not offer co-administered flu shots currently. Visit www.swpublichealth.ca/covid19vaccine for dates and locations.
