Dog bite incident in Woodstock - May 8th
Southwestern Public Health has been notified of a dog biting incident.
The incident took place on May 8, 2024, in front of building at 362 Dundas St, Woodstock, around 2:00AM.
The victim was walking in front of building when she saw a dog without a leash come from an alley way towards her. The dog is described as a large brown and white bulldog. The owner of the dog is described as a women with grey hair, wearing a long jacket and using a cane. The dog came up to the victim and bit her on the leg. The owner saw the dog come up to victim but may not be aware the dog bit her.
Public health seeks information about these dogs in order to assess for risk of exposure to the rabies virus.
