Holiday Greeting

2021 is quickly coming to a close and we find ourselves in the second holiday season of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since this time last year, we have learned so much about this virus, how it transmits, and how we can protect ourselves and our loved ones. Across the region, more than 80% of those eligible have been vaccinated against COVID-19, which is our best protection from serious illness.
Yet it is important to acknowledge that we are not where we want to be right now. Many of us long for a time that felt less complicated; that was not so filled with worry.
While this is not the celebration we had hoped for, the safety precautions you continue to follow - such as staying home when sick, wearing a well-fitting face covering, and limiting your gathering sizes - will ensure that everyone you love and care for will be kept safe for all the special occasions to come.
As we straddle this time between optimism for 2022, and concern for those who are hospitalized or at greater risk from the virus, we will focus our energies on our gratitude for our partners, for health care professionals and volunteers, and for every single resident doing their part to keep the holiday season safe and healthy for all of us.
Thank you for your continued support. We wish you and your loved ones all the best in 2022.
