In partnership with Southwestern Public Health, the University of Waterloo Climate Institute has released a new policy guide to inform the health impacts of extreme heat, while recognizing not all people are impacted in the same ways.

This Oral Health Month, SWPH is highlighting the importance of oral health and the free and low‑cost dental services available to eligible children, seniors, and adults across Oxford County, Elgin County, and the City of St. Thomas. SWPH provides oral health programs that focus on prevention, early intervention, and education.

Southwestern Public Health is seeking the public’s help to identify a dog involved in a bite incident in St. Thomas on April 2^nd, 2026, at approximately 5:30PM.

Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures as low as -12˚C, feeling like -24˚C with the wind chill, across the Southwestern Public Health region. Cold conditions are expected to begin this evening and continue until the morning of Tuesday, March 17th. Conditions meeting SWPH’s cold alert threshold are also expected overnight on March 17th and into the morning of Wednesday, March 18th.

Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures as low as -18°C and -25°C with the wind chill, in the SWPH region, with cold conditions beginning overnight tonight. Temperatures are expected to warm up on Monday, March 2nd.

Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures as low as -15°C, feeling like -22°C with the wind chill, in the SWPH region, with cold conditions beginning overnight tonight. Temperatures are expected to warm up on Tuesday, February 24th.

Southwestern Public Health is seeking the public’s help to identify a dog involved in a bite incident that occurred on February 8, 2026, between 4:30 and 4:45 PM inside the Winners store located at 3075 Wonderland Rd South, London.

Environment Canada forecasts wind chills of −24°C to −25°C in the Southwestern Public Health region until Sunday.
