5 Ways to Wellbeing

Wellbeing is about how we see ourselves and how we connect with the world around us. It is having the ability to enjoy life, deal with hard times, as well as connect with ourselves and others.

Hard times like COVID-19 can affect wellbeing no matter your life situation. You may feel stressed, confused, sad, worried, or like you have no control. These feelings are normal. If you need help with your mental health, support services are available (below).

But did you know, there are 5 simple actions you can take every day to improve your wellbeing.

What are the 5 Ways:

1. Connect: With other people. Have people around you, connect with others in your life. Building these connections will support and enrich your life every day.

2. Be Active: Find a physical activity that you enjoy, exercising makes you feel good.

3. Take Notice: Be aware of the world around you and what you are feeling. Reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciated what matters to you.

4. Give: Seeing yourself, and your happiness, linked to the wider community can be incredibly rewarding and creates connections with people around you.

5. Keep Learning: Set a challenge you will enjoy achieving. Learning new things will make you more confident as well as being fun.
